Initially, Metronet was offering only up to gigabit internet speeds to its residential customers in eight states of the USA. In 2022, it merged with Vexus Fiber, a local internet carrier in Texas, and expanded its network to 8 more states with upgraded speeds. Metronet Internet could now deliver up to 2000 Mbps of upload and download speeds across its 16-state footprint.
Metronet offers four speed tiers at varying monthly prices. Its entry-level plan starts at a promo rate of $39.95 per month and can deliver speeds up to 100 Mbps. The introductory prices are valid for the first 12 months after which the prices increase by $20 per month. The Metronet Internet 500 and Metronet Internet Gig are the most sold plans on its product range. Hence, the second-year price hike for these two plans is greater than the entry-level and elite-level plans.

Mentronet Internet’s professional installation fee is 70 percent cheaper than the renowned fiber internet brands. AT&T Fiber charges its customer $99 for expert installation and in some areas you are charged an additional $35 for service activation.
Upon service cancellation, you will have to return your Eero mesh Wi-Fi router to Metronet. Failing to do so can result in a penalty of up to $150. The taxes and surcharges are levied by the state government and therefore the actual amount will vary from state to state.
