Unfortunately, AT&T is no longer accepting new applications for its Affordable Connectivity Program due to the depletion of funds. However, current AT&T ACP members will continue receiving the benefits until the government discontinues the program (expected in April 2024).
If you are a current ACP participant and plan to switch to AT&T, you may call its customer service to transfer your ACP benefits to AT&T services like AT&T Internet, AT&T Wireless, and AT&T Prepaid.
AT&T Internet Programs for SNAP Participants
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a federally administered assistance program that offers funds for grocery shopping to impoverished or low-wage families. The credit amount allotted varies by state, household size, and income level.
For example, in 2024, Alaska had the highest SNAP benefit across the country. A family of 4 can receive up to $1,937 per month, based on their gross income.
The SNAP benefits are accessible in all 50 states, as well as, the District of Columbia, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands. As of 2022, around 41.2 million Americans, or 12 percent of the country’s population are enrolled in SNAP.
If you are one of those participants or fulfill the eligibility criteria for SNAP, you can sign up for the following AT&T Internet programs for low-income families and enjoy free or discounted broadband service.
- Access from AT&T
- AT&T Affordable Connectivity Program
- AT&T Lifeline
