Currently, only those eligible families receiving AT&T’s wired broadband services, like AT&T Fiber and AT&T Internet Protocol Broadband (IPBB), can opt for Access from AT&T. AT&T’s wireless services, like AT&T Fixed Wireless and AT&T Internet Air are not a part of this low-cost initiative.

Access from AT&T Internet service is mainly delivered via the internet protocol broadband (IPBB – hybrid fiber-copper technology) and DSL internet networks. The standard Access from AT&T internet plan, offering download speeds of up to 100 Mbps, is available to IPBB customers. Whereas, the lower speed tiers are available to AT&T DSL internet subscribers.
Regardless of the type of connection, AT&T’s internet service for low-income families includes free equipment (compatible DSL modem and IPBB modem) to offer seamlessly fast asymmetric speeds around the house.
Technical installations can be challenging, especially when unfamiliar equipment is involved. But with AT&T’s low-cost internet service, you can pass your worries to a certified technician. You are only required to set an appointment for expert installation during enrollment and ensure your presence on the said day and time.
The professional installation usually takes around 2 to 4 hours, during which the technician sets up the equipment and activates the Access from AT&T internet service.

Applications for Access from AT&T can be submitted online. You can visit the official Access from AT&T web page and scroll down to see a prompt for “Apply for Access from AT&T”. Click “Get Started” to start the application process.
After being redirected to the Application Form, you can follow these steps to apply for your AT&T low-income internet service.
It may take a couple of weeks for your application to be processed and approved.
Meanwhile, you can track the progress of your application by clicking “Check Status” and entering your Confirmation Number, Last Name, Home Phone Number or Mobile Phone Number, and Zip code.
AT&T will send a confirmation email once your application for Access from AT&T is approved.
Low-income families can also get a monthly discount of up to $9.25 (up to $34.25 per month for eligible applicants residing on Tribal Lands) by bundling their AT&T Internet with a home phone service.
You must meet one of these criteria to avail of the Lifeline benefits on AT&T Internet and Phone bundles.

AT&T Internet users from low-income families can save up to $30 per month on their bills by transferring their Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) credits to AT&T.
Through the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC’s) Affordable Connectivity Program, eligible low-income households receive credits of up to $30 per month (up to $75 per month for residents of Tribal Lands) to pay toward their internet service.
AT&T and other ACP internet providers have been a part of this initiative since its launch in December 2021. AT&T ACP participants get free and discounted internet service, with yearly savings of up to $360.

Unfortunately, AT&T is no longer accepting new applications for its Affordable Connectivity Program due to the depletion of funds. However, current AT&T ACP members will continue receiving the benefits until the government discontinues the program (expected in April 2024).
